The meaning of the colour Yellow

You are dazzling! Yes, luminous! You naturally capture the attention of others!

Think for a moment about YELLOW...

Almost every world culture sees Yellow as representing joy, happiness, the sun and sunshine, Spring, and warmth. We see yellow on Daffodils and Sunflowers, on the Tour de France Winners’ jerseys, Happy Faces, and lemons! It’s also the primary Colour of optimism, enlightenment and creativity. You have these characteristics not only resonating from your Soul, but bursting within your personality!

You may wonder why Yellow is the color of “Caution” on signs, traffic lights and barriers all over the world. Also, Yellow is our body’s signal for some physical illnesses such as Malaria, Jaundice, and Pestilence. Every Colour has a Dark Side, as do all things in Life. The Dark Side of Yellow includes illnesses as well as Egoism, Betrayal, Cowardice, and Insanity.

This is because Yellow is the Colour that’s closest to the Light of Spirit. Us Humans innately know somehow that if we want to get a vital message across, Yellow is the most direct Colour to communicate, and to get people to respond. It’s no coincidence that toxic metals are the sources of yellow pigmentation - lead, cadmium, and chrome. And our yellow urine is sign of toxins leaving our bodies!

So, whether you want it or not, you naturally get noticed.. Sometimes in great ways and with rewards and recognition.. Other times catching attention you don’t want. Yellow’s optimism and orientation toward enlightenment often inspires and challenges people. But that’s Yellow ~ People can’t help but notice!

Finally, Yellow many religions associate Yellow with God. Yellow is also the colour of your Solar Plexus Chakra - Encouraging use of your powerful energy, assimilation of Life’s variety, and reaching your Goals! When you are connected to your Yellow Colour, you express the pure joy of Spirit, God and Life!
